HISTORY OF MY FAMILY NAME

My family name is Sanchez , this surname comes from "Sanxo", and it was used by persons of noble rank. You can't find derived surnames , but in spanish language is common to add the suffix "- ez" to the father's name . After years this surname changed to "Sanchez". .- Sancho Sanchez , he was a knight in the Kingdom of Pedro in 1100.
.- Lope Sanchez de Ogaure and Galindo Sanchez , both were Knights that fought in the conquest of Zaragoza in 1137.
.- Fortuny Sanchez , lord of BoltaƱa.
.- and so on.

There are a lot of historians that confirm that there were a lot of people in differents countries in Spain using this surname but with no relation between them. But they also confirm that this surname comes from Asturias , and you can find the house of this surname in Cangas de Onis.
