2.My family name, Belis, it's really very unusual. I think that in the phone guide of Barcelona exists only one other Belis: my father.
3. My family name doesen't tell me anything about my family. I think we come from Valencia, because my grandmother was born in Castelló, but I'm not sure because in the Pyrinees, near the village of Alp, exist a road called Beli's road.
4.My family name doesn't mean anything nowadays, but there are a lot of catalan family names that refer to a professions, for example Sabater or Fuster.
5.There are a lot of names of other countries that are popular in Catalonia, for example, the family name of my wife, Balanzó, is from France.
6 and 7.It depends the situation. With family or friends, we use the first name always. In more formal situations, at work for example, we use the family name using first the surname "Senyor" or "Senyora".
8. We use pet names only in a very few ocasions and when exist a very close relationships, for example between two lovers.
