In Colombia, there are several species in danger of extinction, some of them are: the spectacled bear, the jaguar, the puma, the iguana and the Condor of the Andes, which is our bird emblem of the country. The government and the different animal protection institutions make great efforts to protect their habitat and to prevent illegal hunting.
