Pelota Vasca

Mainly this sport is developed in a few countries such as Spain and France, especially in the Basque Country and its neighboring areas; It is also popular in Latin American countries such as Peru, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Cuba and Uruguay.
The main objective of this sport is to play with a racket, with your hand, a basket or a wooden shovel and hit a ball against a wall, which is also known as a pediment.
The Basque Ball is usually played between 2 teams of 2 players each and the court is divided by a net or a line on the ground.

The Basque Ball was presented for the first time in the Olympic Games of the year 1924.
The International Federation of Basque Pelota, being the governing body of this sport, has created standard rules for the different varieties in the 4 modalities and the 14 disciplines, including the fixed weights of the balls and the fixed size of the courts.
A World Championship of the Basque Ball is organized annually, where the team from France is the most successful.
