NYC trip

I’d really like to visit New York City. It’s a city I’ve seen on films and read on books, and I’d like to feel like a Hollywood actress or a novel character! First of all, I have searched a car for rent in the airport. Then, I could go everywhere by it! I’ve choosen AVIS rental business, because it works well, safe and cheap. To rent a car for the whole week will cost me between 500 and 600 dollars. After that, I’ve looked for a city map. There’s a web site where you can find all maps of NYC: http://gis.nyc.gov/doitt/nycitymap/?.
I’ll visit New York with my boyfriend, so we have thought that it will be cheaper to rent an apartment, because we could do our meals there. A small studio at Riverside will cost us nearly 1200 dollars for the whole week. It’s close near to Manhattan, so we’ll save up money also with public transport. Manhattan and Central Park will be the two first places to visit. Next, we’ll cross the Brooklyn Bridge and we’ll go to visit the Chelsea Hotel –my favourite song is Leonard Cohen’s one!-. I’d like to visit some neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Little Italy, the artistic East Village and the cool Soho. We should go up till the top of Empire State Building and we’ll take a ferry to Staten Island and we’ll see the Statue of Liberty during the trip. At night, we’ll go to a theater near Times Square to see a Broadway musical, and the next day, we’ll visit some museums, like the Guggenheim or the MoMA.
American food is not very well-known, but I’d really, really like to visit two places which appear in the TV serial “*censured* and the City”: Il Cantinori –Italian food- and Magnolia Bakery, to take a coffe and a wonderful cupcake!!!
