The woman who disappeared

1. What do you think might have happened to Betty Ross? For example, do you think she was kidnapped? Did her husband have anything to do with it?
On the one hand, I think she was afraid of her husband because of their impending divorce and then she ran away. But on the other hand, she wouldn't have left her children, so maybe she had been kidnapped. In this case, I think that her husband has something to do with it.
2. In some countries there are regular television programmes about missing people. They tell the story about a missing person, interview relatives, and invite viewers to help find the person. Do you have a programme like this in your country? Is it popular? Do you watch it? What interesting case histories do you remember?
Now, as far as I know, there is no programme like this in Spain. But many years ago there was "¿Quién sabe dónde?", a programme about missing people to which relatives went in order to tell their story and to ask for help. It was a popular programme and I watched it. I remember a man who was found some years ago and whose case had been handled by "¿Quién sabe dónde?".
3. Imagine you wanted to disappear. How would you go about it? What clues would you leave to give people the wrong idea? Where would you go? What would you take?
If I wanted to disappear and nobody should know about it, I would flee the country. I would try to change my personality and to go to any place where nobody knows me.
