Travel plans to New York City

I’ve chosen New York City for a seven-day trip. Maybe it is because I’ve seen so many movies with the city as background but it has appealed to me for a long time.
I think the most useful map of New York in the Internet to get an idea of the city, and to get a quick idea of where places and events are located, is the Google Maps one, and that is the one I used.
First of all I’ve chosen to travel from the 1st of June to the 8th. Summer is about to start and I thinkg it would be too hot then. Spring, otherwise, is perfect for walking around the city and The Central Park must be worth to see right now, with all the colors of the recently blossomed flowers.
I didn’t expect to find a cheap Hotel with such short notice, and I’m interested to sleep in Manhattan so I am close to anything I want to visit around there. That is why I choose Ameratian hotel , a three-star hotal in 230 W 54th Street. I booked a room for 93,19€ a night. That is 779,80€ total.
I don’t have too much experience renting cars so I went to the first company that came to mind and with offices in New York. That would be Hertz. The cheapest car I’ve found is a Hyundai Accent for 38€ a day . I have to pick it up and get it back in the same JFK.
I have lots of places I wished to visit, but having in mind that I just have 7 days I will focus in Manhattan. In particular I want to visit:
1) The Central Park
2) The Statue of Liberty
3) The Brooklyn Bridge
4) The Empire State
5) The Madison Square Garden
And taking advantage of visiting The Central Park I would like to eat in one of its restaurants, say one of the The Boathouse restaurant, for example. They say they are the only lakeside restaurant and it might be worth the views. Well that is what I’d wish, but I can’t find any prices in their web, so maybe I find it is more than I can afford…
