Yuppies and Yubbies in Barcelona

Barcelona is today full of Yubbies. They pretend to be vegetarian, environmentally friendly and interested in arts and culture. They also dress according to this style. However, they keep driving to work, buying expensive clothes made in China by exploited children and they will dress themselves up in special occasions. They tend to give money to some NGO to feel better. In fact they take what they want from the system, but they’ll repeat proudly that they’re against the statu quo. Of course, what they choose to follow of what’s established is the easiest, and that’s why young people are living with their parents until they’re 40. On the other hand are the Yuppies, which are exactly the same as they used to be, with a little difference of age. Years have passed and they’re not young any more. Most of them are now in the habit of going out with their children, which they had in their late thirties. Of course Yuppies and Yubbies won’t get on very well, they will criticise each other systematically. What I’m not really sure of is in what category should I include myself.
