They would become hedonists concentrating on carousing and high jinks instead of further planning ahead for their future. To a certain extent, some would even go free-wheeling and would not care about the law and order. To this end, the world would turn up to be a complete shambles.
Apart from the social problems, from purely economic point of view, people would tend to spend more for buying things for their final enjoyment until the end of the world. They would dare not to keep their savings in the bank. Against this backdrop, the money supply in the market would increase which would then give rise to the inflation rate. In other words, all the prices of food, goods, commodities and daily essentials would surge to an unaffordable level of some poor unfortunates. As a whole, the economy would definitely go downhill and cause ferment in society.
In a word, the consequences that the end of the world would bring would be catastrophic.
