Although I am living today in Barcelona, I come from a small but wonderfut island called Menorca, the western island of the Balearic Archipel. You can get there by plane and by ship from the most important capitals in Europe. There, you can choose between a large amount of hotels. I could recommend you two sorts of them: a hotel near one of our beautiful and well-conservated beaches –the most touristic option-, or a rural hotel, where you can visit our countryside, taste our typical food and walk through our ancient paths. Additionally, you can visit our ancient stone monuments –funerary places and towns from the Neolithic Age-, the rests of an Arabic castle, some Roman mosaics and all the defence towers and the two castles who left there the British Empire when dominated the island in the eighteenth century.
