I would advise Roger to go out sometimes and try to speak to real people. Once he tries, he will realise it's much better than creating another life in your computer.
I think Net Addiction is a little bit exaggerated. Maybe there are a few real cases, like Roger's, but most people can control their time at the computer.
I don't think we live in an age of addiction, I mean, there have always been and will always be people who are addicted to something (and this something changes with time) but that doesn't mean absolutely everyone is an addict to something and that we live in an age of addiction.
I use my computer regularly. I usually use it for fun, I like speaking with my friends, playing some games... I could live without it, of course, I would be very bored but I would get over it.
