Good relationship between men and women

When you see the divorce rate in Switzerland, you must come to the conclusion, that having a good, satisfactory relationship between the two genders is impossible. For me it's hard to understand why this happens. One possible answer is the lack of communication. Instead of talking about a problem as soon as it occurs, nobody mentions it. It smoulders until it catches fire because of anything else. Then the shouting starts with criticism and unfair accusations from both parts. As soon as the row flares up, nobody considers the consequences and in the end both are hurt, diappointed and possibly only ready to forgive under certain conditions.
In the internet I read about two very good advices: First of all, talk calmly about a problem as soon as it occurs. As long as the problem is only small, it's easier to reach a solution. Listen carefully what your partner says and don't interrupt him/her. Then repeat what you understood, ask if that was it, what was meant and then show your opinion. Avoid to attack the character of your partner.
The second advice was to spend some quality-time with each other. This means that you have to plan an evening/a day/ a weekend, where you spend your time together, doing, if possible, what both of you like (wellness, cinema, restaurant etc.) or if you haven't any common interests, do once what you propose and the next time what your partner proposes. Quality-time doesn't mean that you are physically together but in your thoughts there is only place for your business or for your family problems. Quality-time talks about building a good relationship, where you can trust each other, even if you sometimes go on doing things with old friends, but without your partner. Find a good balance between spending time seperately and spending time together.
Believe me, a good partnership is a permanent task. A happy relationship is realised as soon as you consider your partner as your best friend.
