In my opinion, songs are ideal resources for teaching to our students certain forms of grammar, as well as vocabulary, because they enjoy learning new meanings for a piece of music that already has meaning in their lives.

Making a review from last class has a number of benefits. It refreshes students’ memories, reminding them about content and topics from the previous session. It’s a way to help students develop oral skills and help them feeling more confident in class. They have the opportunity to practice speaking in front of their peers, and they get feedback from the instructor.

It is very important to take into account fast finishers because the stronger ones can easily get bored and demotivated when they finish the task and have to wait for the rest of the group. It is important to find a balance and clear strategies for ensuring that stronger students are not held back or challenged insufficiently, and that weaker students have enough time to do the essential work. It will be useful to include open - ended tasks, rather than telling students to write six sentences, for example, we can ask them to write as many as they can in three minutes. In this way, all pupils can work at their own pace and level, a weaker pupil would produce two sentences and a stronger one, eight. Another useful task we can give to Fast finishers is an activity like crosswords or other word puzzle to do while the other students are finishing off.
