For me an entrepreneur is someone corageous, smart and witty, who is willing to risk his o her economic resources to pursue an idea he or she has in mind, usually an innovative and groundbreaking one.
When I hear the word entrepreneur, the living example that immediately comes to my mind is Elon Musk. He was born in South Africa and always had an interest in science, computing and engineering.
When he was still a teenager he programmed a videogame at home with a rudimentary computer and made a lot of money. After that he decided to create, along with a friend of his, what we know nowadays by the name of Paypal. He sold the mentioned company and instead of acquiring an island with the many millions he earned, he founded Tesla, a car factory specialized in electric cars. Tesla is known for having developed the most successful electric vehicle there is.
This should already be more than enough to consider Elon Musk a worldclass entrepreneur, but the wouldn´t stop there. He continued with the concept behind his previous company and started a new one focused in the production of solar panels, called Solar City, which ended up being the main supplier of solar panels in the US and many other countries.
Two successful companies striving to make the world a better place, but Elon Musk had still plenty of ideas and invested money in Neurolink, where they are researching a more advance and safer artificial intelligence and "The Boring Company" which bores tunnels.
But the peak of his success is without a doubt SpaceX, the first private Space Industry, building reusable rockets, the biggest space shuttle and planning to conquer mars.
I have always dreamed to be an entrepreneur and I have fantasized many times with crazy ideas, but I haven´t found the resources (time, funds, manpower) to make my dreams come true.
