You call that art

You call that art

Even though I reckon that great artists have dab hands at what they do, going to museums just for the sake of it is not exactly my cup of tea.

To me, an exhibition like "Obliteration Room" is a great place to visit with children or undergrown adults. Art is beyond museums, so what I like about it is the possibility of enjoying it everywhere.

The last exhibition I?ve been to was here in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I visited the Elder Museum with my pupils. It' s a museum of Science and Technology , and unfortunately you can't touch but a few things. That's the reason why I prefer experiencing art in the streets through architecture, music, dance, juggling or whatever that strikes my eyes, ears, hands... Art must be beautiful (or ugly), but also touchable and capable of being experienced by all our five senses, not just sight.

Another thing I will never understand is why some countries steal or buy art from others, and boast about their marvellous well-known museums wherein one can see uprooted, plundered art.
