Public is the artist

Public is the artist

Public art has been planned and executed with the intention of being staged in the physical public domain, usually outside and accessible to all. Rendered in any media, works included can encompass environmental art, dealing with the landscape, architectural interventions and participatory and interactive pieces. I consider that let the public interact or even create is a quite interesting idea

Any examples of interactive public art in your city Ancor? In Barcelona I don't think we have any - maybe graffiti, but that's forbidden now. For a while Barcelona seemed like the graffiti capital of Europe :)
Tahnks for writing,

Oh, one thing:
I consider that let the public interact = I consider that letting the public.....

I like the idea of public art wit the participation of the audience but I have never been to one.

I don't know any art like this in Barcelona but it reminded my somehow the "cow parade" seen in different cities of the world. In this piece of art, some artists around the world decorated a sculpture of a white cow that was shown in different cities of the world. I just remember walking through New York and bumping with one of those cows. Although the public was not a creator of this piece of art, was fun to see the different reactions of everyone who walked around and also to see the different styles depending on the artist.

I do believe that any art that incentivates the creativity of artists and public is worthy and I would like to participate in one picece like "Obliteration room".
