1. Women at work

What is the typical work that the women in business don't like?
Sometimes, some jobs are traditionally done by men because women dont like. That jobs involve physical hard work, e.g. jobs in the construction sector. In other jobs, as taxi driver, they have to spend much hours driving, and woman hate cars!
On the other hand, the most sad example is the woman, as a manager in big companies. Today, un fortunately, women continue being discriminated for senior positions in business administration. There is a long way to change it. In Spain there is a new ministry to legislate issues of equality.

1.Women and work.
Most private investigators are men. Find other examples of women in jobs that are traditionally done by men.
Actually, women can perform any work, so it isn’t exceptional to find female firefighters, scientists, military, policewomen, miners, doctors etc.
I look for some examples of famous women in their jobs: Carmen Chacon, Defence minister in Spain or politicians as Hilary Clinton or Margaret Thacher.
I you search in Internet for famous women. You can only find singers and actresses who are famous just for being beautiful. That's awful.

2. Watching them watching you.
Are there any sites on the Internet for people worried about surveillance (being watched)?
What new technology is available in this field?
There are many companies that sell cameras and technology for monitoring children, babysitters, employees ..

3. More about Sherlock Holmes.
Was he a real person? If so, where and when was he born? If not, who "invented" him?
Find out more about Sherlock Holmes, and then write five quiz questions to post on the Noticeboard in the Study Room
- Was Sherlock Holmes a fictional character?
- Did he smoke cigarettes?
- Did he live in Scotland?
- Was he married?
- Did he wear dark glasses?
