1. A vegan diet basically consists of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains. Animal cannot be eaten.

2. The philosophy behing are ethical commitment or moral conviction concerning animal rights, the environment, human health and spiritual or religious concern.

3. Properly planned vegan diets are claimed to be healthful and have been found to satisfy nutritional needs.

4.Critics say vegan diet may lead to eating disorders.

5. Famous vegetarians included Mahatma Gundhi, Brad Pitt, Alicia Silverstone and Fiona Apple.
