My 10 albums at all time are:

1. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band -The Beatles
It’s the most popular album of Beatles and the best selling one
2. Thriller – Michael Jackson
It’s a highly energetic album MJ ever recorded, and due to his death it’s now being sold as a special debut.
3. Tapestry – Carole King
The songs were well composed and it's the album that was played in the coach I took in my first trip to Europe, giving me my best memories.
4. Bridge over Troubled Water – Simon and Garfunkel
It’s also an album I owned when I was a teenager, therefore it embraces some of my treasured memories.
5. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars – David Bowie
David Bowie was a legendary artist with a great repertoire of his music. I find this album fit his style of being a ‘chameleon’ type of performer.
6. The Dark Side of the Moon – Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd was one of the greatest singer at his time, and no doubt this album need to be included as my top ten
7. The Bodyguard – Whitney Houston
I have always loved Whitney’s voice, being sweet and heavenly. This album is as good as the movie of which the theme song was included.
8. The Phantom of the Opera – Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber
I could sing some of the songs of the musical from beginning to end, and I am always a great fan of Sarah Brightman.
9. Saturday Night Fever – Bee Gees
Even this album was not Bee Gees’ best album, I include it because of the great memory of John Travolta in the movie.
10. Rumours – Fleetwood Mac
It’s a highly charged album. Nobody can deny it.

My favorite music

I have always been a great fan of music and music becomes a very essential part of my life. I remember the first album I bought when I was a kid was the soundtrack of ‘the sound of music’ which I kept on singing in my childhood. I also came to learn guitar just to play some of my favorite folk songs like ‘Greensleeves’, ‘Today’, ‘Leaving on a jet plane’etc. During adolescence, I started listening to classical music. I love Beethoven and Mozart as they were great composers and they composed great music that surpasses generations. I love composers of the Romantic period that include Brahms, Schubert, Puccini, etc. but I also love Bach's music sometimes. My partner, being an internationised Japanese, introduced to me acid jazz when we first came to know each other, showing me a world of different kinds of music like jazz, rock, R&B, funky, club music, etc. so I also have some basic knowledge of the 'fringe' music.

Kim holds the record for biggest selling album in Korea with his third studio album, which sold over 2,8 millions copies. Review of one of my albums

Monday Michiru – Routes

Monday is a superb jazz artist born in Japan and is living currently in New York. It was the Monday Michiru's first album released in USA. There were fourteen songs namely : Routes Interlude, Right Time, Hung Up, Be Who You Are, Philosophy Road, Touch the Sky, Remember, Dig Deep, Don't, Yellow Light, I'm Still Here, I Couldn't See, New Way, Sketches of Myself, all are very audible songs professionally sung. It is the magneticlly charged jazz sound from Monday Michiru plus her collaborators Shinichi Ohsawa and Angel. Monday showed her unbeatable bar of vocal singing, and manifested her musical talents by not only an exhibitionism of style, but also a natural passion for the music she sang by her heart. She can manage high tones of music without any difficulties, and even she carries it with an excellent sober vibration of notes. Even for non-jazz lovers, I highly recommend this album as her music can really alleviate the daily stress and tell you without words what good music is supposed to be. I think she is much an acclaimed artist in jazz singing, though not popular in Hong Kong, and thanks to my partner who introduced her to me, we are now even net-friends.
