I don't know the answers to all the questions but I'll try to answer those I think I know.
1. Yes, he was fictional.
2. He was a detective and solved crimes.
3. I don't know. Do you know the answer to this one?
4. He is famous for his detective work and his partnership with Doctor Watson, and his long-time struggle to beat Moriarty.
