1. Foreign languages at school.

I think that the best language that should be included again as a school subject is the Latin.
The Latin gave rise to a large number of European languages, called Romance languages that although they evolved of different way they have common characteristics. So, to have a solid Latin grounding makes easier the study of these Romance languages.
On the other hand, the nomenclature of species and groups of biology is still doing with Latin words. Also the philosophy and medicine use Latin terms, phrases and abbreviations.

2. Disappearing languages.

To prevent the disappearance of a language the speakers have to be motivated and use it.
People have to understand that knowledge of languages is an added value.
Any imposition causes the opposite effect therefore, it’s necessary to encourage love of language since children in schools.
In parallel government have to offer material, books, games,… these language should be spoken in public media, it must be present in everyday life.

3. In my country.

What languages are spoken in your country? Are there any minority languages? What, if anything, is done to protect the minority languages? What are your opinions on this?
In my country we speak Catalan and Spanish. We can not say that Catalan is a minority language buy it’s at a disadvantage with respect to the Spanish. The government is working to protect it but it is a very difficult job because there are more and more people coming from outside who speak Spanish
