1- Basically the presence of usable quantities of water on the Moon let us to speculate about the possibility of colonise the rocket in a future with a cost more cheap than transporting water from Earth which at present would be prohibitively expensive.
2- Selene or Luna: These are the names of the Moon Goddess in Greek and Roman mythology respectively. In the myths associated with these goddesses, the goddess is paired with the god of the sun. He travels throughout the day and she takes over the journey at night. She’s typically considered to be a passionate goddess who takes many lovers and who represents the desire associated with the moon. 3- There were some missions (that are officially recognized) landing and putting people on the Moon from 1959 to 1976. Luna program, the Soviet missions failed in 1958 but Luna 1 was the first object made by man to escape Earth’s gravity and pass near to the Moon. Luna 2 was the first object made by man to impact the lunar surface and the first photographs of the occluded side of the Moon were made by Luna 3. The first spacecraft landing softly on the surface was Luna 9 whereas the first unmanned vehicle orbiting the Moon was Luna 10 in 1966.
The Apollo missions were the USA program which put the first man on the Moon’s surface. Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on the Moon as the commander of mission Apollo 11 on 21 July 1969. The Apollo missions 11 to 17, except Apollo 13, performed successful lunar landings.
4- The race about Moon exploration bigen during the cold war between Russia and United States. There were a lot of interesting findings about Moon features like the absence of a magnetic field like Earth. Have been discovered high concentrations of heavy rocks existing beneath the surface of the greater seas of the Moon. Also have been determined the parameters of the lunar orbit with best accuracy. Have been studied in great detail all types of UV radiation reaching the satellite. Have been discovered water inside the Moon poles which open new unknown possibilities for human settlement.
In conclusion, the space exploration has been able to explain some questions about the Moon such as it is as old as the Earth. It’s a dead body with a very small internal activity and it has an extremely tenuous atmosphere of its own. There is no trace of life on the Moon, even in its most basic or primitive form. The Moon is not an object, not even potential, which can currently deliver concrete benefits to humanity, at least in the near future. The only concrete benefit obtained as a result of the Moon exploration has been the development of sophisticated new space technology.
