Eco-friendly?

Eco-friendly?

•What was your score for the quiz at the beginning of this unit? Why did you get that score?
I think was three. I think I like my planet very much and I try to take care it every day with many actions like reciclying or not smoking

•Compare your score to others on the Noticeboard. Find someone with a different score to yours and then find out why it is different.
I think every colleague in this course is eco-friendly... but I want to think that we are ecology lovers, not ecologists.

•Do you think it's important to be eco-friendly? Is it possible or practicable in your country and living situation? Explain.
I think is important to be ecology lover, I like ecology and Nature, I don't like ecologists and their approaches.

•What was your score for the quiz at the beginning of this unit? Two. Why did you get that score? Because I try to spend the minimum energy, reusing a lot of things.
•I can not find anybody with a horrible result in the quiz. Perhaps something is happening and everybody has sensitivity to the Earth… I hope so… Of course, this sensitivity is not all over the world but we need somebody to begin… Later, it will arrive the rest.
•Do you think it's important to be eco-friendly? We need to leave the planet prepared for the future humanity, prepared and cleaned. If everything is spent (natural resources) and full of dirt, our children…what kind of world they will find? We need to think about supermarket bags, of course, but also about the insecticides that are thrown to the field, that go to the water, the air contamination, the market of un-eco-friendly cars/trucks, the pollution generated by factories... We need to take care of it!

I also got 2. I think that today we all have a greater environmental awareness. Campaigns have worked and we are aware of the importance of caring for the planet and the Earth that we bequeath to our children.

My score was two. Everybody in the course have the same or nearly the same score. This means that nowadays people are more aware of the importance of being eco-friendly. Well, it’s totally true that sometimes I leave the lights on, because I forget to turn them off. However, I always separate my rubbish into different types: paper, glass, cans and use recycling bins and I usually also reuse plastic bags and glass jars, since I find them very useful.
Nevertheless, in Spain is more difficult to do simple things like recycling, since there are cities in which there aren’t recycling bins, and there are others in which you have to walk thirty minutes to find one. In my opinion, the government has to do something to solve this problem; Recycle should be easy!
