Survivors is a reality show produced and well-known in many countries of the world. It was developed in 1994 by Charlie Parson from a United Kingdom TV production, but the Swedish version which debuted in 1997 with the name Expedition Robinson. That make references to Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson , two stories were about people marooned by shipwrecks.
That reality show has existed in Spain. The Spanish version followed the format of the Swedish program. There were sixteen contestants who were put into a survival situation and competed in a variety of physical challenges.
Early in each season two teams compete but later on the teams are merged and the competition become individual. At the end of each show one contestant is eliminated from the show.
In Spain, there were some different rules that have included a public vote, nominations, evictions and a winner chosen by the public.
