Hi Everybody!

How is your weekend going? Come on, it is Friday!

I’m Ana, it is a very common name in Spain. It’s very difficult to don’t know any person with this name, but I don’t know what is “worse” my name or my surname: Gonzalez. Yeah, yeah, I know… I have a very common name and surname, what can I do? But I like both.

It’s very common to short names, I think it is the same in all the world. Or, if you are friendly with someone you call him/her with a diminutive as Anita, Carlitos, Juanito,… as me, a lot of friends call me Anita.

In Spanish people use pet names as cari or cariño, amor, cielo, chiqui, pichurri,… I don’t like them but everybody does…

Ok, have a nice weekend!

See you soon!

Hi,

I'm Filipa from Portugal. In my country names like Ana, Maria or Inês are very common for women, and Manuel, Bruno or João for man.

I think that my family name, Borges, isn't a common surname. I don't know much people with this surname.

In Portugal names of trees are very used like Pereira or Oliveira.

Normally, when I met someone I call him/her for him/her title followed by their surname.

We use pet names to show affect, the most common can be love!

Have a nice weekend!
