Doping in sport

World Anti-Doping Agency International deals with monitoring and reporting the list of medications, drugs and substances generally considered intolerable for competitions, the life of an athlete in general or for certain sports .

Without doubt the most alarming and disappointing case in recent years has been the doping cyclist Armstrong. His statement was "It is humanly impossible to win seven Tour de France without doping"
He took EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions are performed.
The mechanism seeking athletes by administering EPO is to increase red cell mass, increasing the capacity of the blood to carry oxygen. The extra testosterone creates stronger muscles and bones and reduces the risk of obesity. It also increases aggression and competitive behavior
Side effects of testosterone are insulin resistance, liver failure, cholesterol tends to increase, and others. Excessive consumption of EPO can kill a person quickly.
