Unit 10

Unit 10

Hi,

yes, I do use continuous assesment combined with tests. I use it as it can better show students their progress - not all the children are good in tests - f. e. because of some troubles in writing etc. Some children are better in speaking, some in listening, in writing etc., some of them are more proactive and it's good to show them what they do great and where they have problems and help them to improve - that's why I prefer continuous assesment.

Yes, it takes more time but on the other hand it enables to find and show strong and weak abilities of pupils.

Thanks for posting Eva. I think the combination of continuous assessment with the occasional test is a sensible way to approach evaluation. Tests only are unfair to some students, as you say. Or even good testers might have a bad day and fail a test!
