One of the most important festivals in the department of Tolima is the Colombian Folkloric Festival, which takes place in Ibagué from June 22 to July 1. In this event, which highlights popular customs through dance, there are concerts, music workshops around folklore; shows in auditoriums, theaters, museums and universities, and the International Folklor Reign takes place.
