Why do you think that the dolphins helped Nikki to speak? Do you have a theory about this?
I think dolphins stimulated Nikki in some way that he felt the necessity to talk in order to get back in the water with the dolphins again. Perhaps it was something he felt while been in the water that made him feel comfortable or relaxed. Probably he was stunned to hear the sounds around him and the vibrations he was exposed to made increased his awareness. Something happend in his brain that increased his ability to learn.
Do you really think the dolphins helped, or is this a case of media exaggeration?
Nowadays there are medical institutions that have developed forms of theraphy to help autistic children and improve physical mobility using animals like dolphins and horses, therefore I think dolphins really helped in this particular case.
Do you know any other stories about the therapeutic effect of animals?
Even though this kind of theraphy is not recognized, there are many stories of people who benefit thanks to the interactions with these animals.
How do you think Nikki's mother raised the £10,500? How would you raise this amount of money?
Probably she asked for help the people around her and all the people who know Nikki. Perhaps I would ask for help to some institution or use the mass media or the internet to let more people know about Nikki's problem. They could help with money or probably make contact with some therapists or a theraphy centre.
