What are the implications of the discovery of water on the Moon?
NASA said that If the water that was formed or deposited thousands of millions of years ago, these frozen polar deposits could give keys to the history and evolution of the solar system.
Many cultures have stories and myths about the Moon. Can you find one that you like?
The best known myth is that of Selene's love (this is the name of the Moon in ancient Greece) with the shepherd of Cària, Endimió.
The Apollo 11 mission was the first to put people on the Moon. What can you find out about the other missions that sent people to the Moon? How has information about the Moon been of use here on Earth?
Lunar missions were one of the most important parts of what is known as the "space race", the informal competition between the United States and the Soviet Union that lasted from the late 50's to the early 70's, to achieve Master the flight of rockets and space exploration. The United States and Russia sent Moon manned and unmanned missions.
The European Space Agency sent an unmanned mission in 2003. At present, it has not planned any other mission.
I have obtained information about the moon reading the news in the newspaper.
