Remakes are good if the director keeps the same plot or adds better special efffects. I´ve realized that they normally do it with horror, cartoon, science fiction or thriller fims. Take It or Dumbo, for example. Having said that, both are bad for me.
I go to the cinema 3 times per month, i try. Now a days people prefer stay at home and whatch movies on the internet. You can´t watch the premier but is cheaper.
