In and out of fashion. Life in a screen.

In and out of fashion. Life in a screen.

When we think about fashion we usually think in clothes, music or haircuts, but in my opinion, wht is really in at the moment is the use of smartphones We can see a lot of people on the street going up and down watching at the screen of this little gadget completely absent-mainded and ignoring all what is happening around them. The situation of a group of people in a bar having a beer, each one using his smartphone and ignoring their friends has become a classic nowadays. Not to mention the sad image of a couple having dinner in a chic restaurant, each one paying attention to the mobil phone instead of having a conversation. Actually, more a plague than a fashion.

you are right. this situation can be seen everyday and everywhere. I have seen it even with my friends and i think the problem is that no one ksays anything about it because we are all in this. Being together with friends or family has become less important than updating the status in the media

I completely agree with you about this behaviour that is a plague more than a fashion. People now a days are more focus about what happens on social media than in real life, this is really sad and annoying.
I think that the worst part of it is that people think that they are more valuable if their profile have more likes or followers than others.
And I also know a lot of people that are absolutely addicted to social media, and they literally can´t live without it.

Nowdays a lot of people share their lives on social networks such as Facebook or Instagram by sharing every moment of their daily activities to gain confidence, to increase self-esteem.
If we reflect carefully, through these virtual tools, we have been creating a great distance between us and the others for a long while; we don't cultivate the human relations anymore because we just care about getting likes or consensuses by demonstrating what we are able to do or in which places we have been so far. To me, this approach is terrible since we are focused on building a fake world around us to show the worst part of ourselves.
Every activity we do, it is performed to be shared with the others and not for pleasure.
Another bad habit is that tied to the use of smartphones or mobile phones. Even when we are at a party, at the restaurant, it is very normal to seeing people hanging out with their friends just physically but not mentally because we are more interested in checking what is happening in the world or what other friends are and who with.
We should start considering to revisit the way of experiencing our lives:
by sharing our moments in person and not through virtual social networks;
by enjoying the people and the places where we are in that moment without taking in consideration what the others could think about our choices.
We ought to start putting ourselves first and to do what we like most.

What about FaceApp?
Do we really think that FaceApp is totally unoffensive for out privacy?
Everyday we are used to take pictures of everithing around us, we store it on our smartphone, or we share it on social media, this is the moment when we lose the ownership the our pictures to share it with the rest of the word.
Facebook is capable to recognize the face of the sender and those of his frineds that could be present in a selfie just using a complex system of alghoritms that compare some face details, without making them know that the application is storing that that and evenctually someone could steal, force or buy it for other scopes…
the evolution of this kind of alghoritms is presented by FaceApp the brand new and compelling application for smartphones that gives to the users the possbility to make a picture or modify one from the memory, to show how the face
photographed could be in the future, warped by the signs of the time, aged.
This new fronter of technology and the huge use offered should let us think about risks that we take decinding to use it, and sometime, to misuse it.
