In and Out of Fashion

I wish I had a bigger closet... we may say many times, but I wonder if we have ever stopped and really think about what do we have inside that space inside our homes. I think fashion is part of our culture and it tells the story of the place you live at, for example if you go to the Mexican East Coast you'll see most of the people wearing torn jeans and even a cropped hair, or what about a bright color cardingan; would you wear that? Well, here in Veracruz all those are totally in, so please forget about your winter clothes and enjoy the sun.
It was really funny, the first day I arrived here I was carrying many jackets, waistcoats, and sweatpants too, How could I know that was out of fashion here. These place is warm, and I'm not talking just about the weather, but its people too. So, Do clothes tell stories about places? I think it does.

Of course, clothing not only tells stories from different places, it shows status as well. Living in Querétaro is interesting to see and identify teenagers’ social status by looking at the clothes they wear. What is on fashion for young ladies of low social status is to wear strong makeup, tight crop-tops and leggings. Whereas high social status teenagers wear loose, light-color, plain clothes and natural makeup. The good thing here is that I see confident young people, no matter what people say about them, they just follow the trends they consider are suitable for them.

I like to say :the place you visit the habit you find.
Very often when you visit a new country you can see different ways local people like to dress.
There is a lot to loose and a little to gain to don't respect the local habit especially when you travel in the middle east.
That's why when I vist middle east countries, usually I like to follow the local dressing habit which means "to be inside" local fashion (just to avoid to be immediatly identified as stranger) but when I visit a western country I like to dress in the same way I usually do in my country, (even if sometimes I take chance to be out of local fashion). In this sense I like to dress flared jeans and polo neck Top shirt.
Both middle east and western world have a parameter which is growing up in a similar way, the young people. Even if the have different religions (which in some cases have a huge influence on them) they try to follow the global fashion which means blue jeans and T-Shirt.

I'd say purple/violet clothes are definitely out, nowadays. I used to have and wear shirts, t-shirts or even trousers of that colour, but currently I'm much, much more interested in blue/green/grey stuff.

Leather jacket with safety pins and pink or light blue hair are popular again. Yuppies clothes and habits are still ok.
Hippies clothes are definitively out.

Mexico City is the most cosmopolitan city in mexico, you can find people walking down the street with crazy hairstyles, expensive shoes and clothes with exotic colours. But now a days there is particularly a style that is so in fashion; It´s called the hipster look, it consist of: a loose shirt with some funny drawing or cartoon on it, some black denim trousers, convers or vans, and a vintage hat.
The hairstyles that are in fashion are, for men: long hair with cute and well arranged beards, and for women is: short hair discolored at the tips.
I forgot to mention that the hipster look can´t be complete without a tatoo in the arm, and a percing in thhe nose.
And if you want to be a full hipster you should listen 80's bands and contemporary alternative mexican music, go to all of the new art exhibitions in the city and have a perfect instragam profile.

I'm Giovanni and i'm gonna tell you a story of a community that live in a place named NAJALAND.
People that live in NAJALAND are very obsessed follower of fashion, actually there are no different parties like YUBBIES and YUPPIES and no discrimination about age and social class; NAJALAND inhabitants have an average wardrobe variety, basicly they are used to catalogue their outfits in three main categories of clothes such as a daily comfortable dressing (the most common), an elegant outfit mostly used for celebrations and social events ( on both there could be some little variations sometimes ), and the GALA used for high society events, in few words we could compare it to a formal dress code.
These people seems not to be influenced about their way of dressing from anything outside of their community, they really likes fashion but prefer not to change anything; the green color is dominant above all.

I think people of all ages are addicted to new trends in the world of fashion. I’m a fashion follower, but not an influencer one. I think the clothes we wear have become one of the primary ways in which people express themselves, but since garments are one day old fashionable and in ten years’ time are come back in, I think fashion shouldn’t be the centre of our universe.
There are fashion items for every season and every occasion, and this makes it possible for people to express themselves differently depending on the specific season or time of the year. Clothes are also known to have a substantial impact on the mood of people, and likewise, some colours are more effective than others to put people in a better place as far as their mind set and emotions are concerned. Red is my favourite colour and makes me feel happy.
In my opinion, there is some truth to the statement that it’s not what you wear but how you wear it which.

IN: I have noticed that mom's bell-bottomed jeans are back in women fashion and also flared jeans are trendy again which I am quite surprised of, because those ones I tended to wear in my high-school years and really believed that this type of fad would never come back in. Aren't flared trousers a part of a hippie style? I guess a must have been a bigger hippie as a teenager than I am nowadays :)
OUT: Can't recall of a single old-fashioned thing... Maybe western style? I have a feeling that everything is back in again! Various mixture of colours, fabrics, patterns, styles... I guess today's fashion is more free-minded than 10 years ago.

I am from Morocco and here we follow fashin alot, even if it seems like a traditional country but in facts is not, time changed and fashion also, here women dye their hair, wears short dresses and short skirts, they are elegant, but in other places in Morocco we can't wear this wayd we need to change the mentalities, I think looks say alot about a person and it's normal to wear fashionable clothes.

Hello everyone,
in Italy fashion and the way people dress is absolutely important. Nowadays wearing a blazer with lots of paillettes on it with a denim is definitely in. Of course, you can't forget to wear a black or white dress shirt and a pair of shoes that matches with the colour of the belt and with all the outfit.
I traveled a lot in the past and I met people all around the world, but all those people agreed about the idea that "You can spot an Italian person abroad by the way he is dressed". This is what happened to me in 2009 when I was in England. This confirm the general idea that Fashion and looks say a lot about customs and culture of different people coming from different countries.

I'd say some colours are definitely out, nowadays. I used to wear clohes in a variety of colours, but right now I'm much, much more interested in more tamed outfits.

Here in Peru i can tell that chockers,dyed hair,ugg boots,jeans without pockets,etc are out . On the other hand,here in my country when something is on trend,everybody buy it and use it so is very comun to see a lot of girls with the same outfit.
