Not only Cuernavaca is the city that attracts a lot of turist in the state of Morelos; there is a magical place in the northeast of the city where you can go trekking and enjoy the wonders of nature, it is called Tepoztlan.
ThiS Magical Town celebrates a variety of traditions, like day of the dead, the Tepozteco celebration and a carnaval before the Ash Wednesday, which is the largest in Morelos as it lasts more than 3 days.
It takes you an hour from Mexico City to arrive to this place; you can take a bus in the Pullman Station of Taxqueña, ubicated in Mexico city, or take the dual carriageaway Mexico-Acapulco if you are going by car.
I recommend to arrive early in the morning, in order to ascend the Tepozteco mountain, which is the most popular attraction of the place, not only because there is a prehispanic temple in the top of it, but it also has the most spectacular view of the valley. A piece of advice, try to use tenis, the road is After you descend the mountain, you can have breakfast in the market and enjoy the tradicional food, like itacates, quesadillas, or try the best cecina of Morelos. You could also taste the most famous prehispanic beverage named pulque, you will find it in different flavors: natural, strawberry, wattermelon, chocolate and more.
If your plan is to stay more days there, there is a hotel name the Tubo Hotel near the place, hotel where the rooms have the shape of a big tube, a new experience! You can find more information in its page tubohotel.com

There is no place like this in other state, if you come to visit, you will not regret it.
